This place is located on the Mizuwake pass along National route No. 210. The spring water with a source temperature of 99 degrees Celcius is a simple, colorless and transparent sulfur spring that is said to have beneficial effects against neuralgia, rheumatism, cold feet, and so on. Inside, there is a restaurant called "Mizuwake Chaya" where you can also enjoy Oita's famous cuisines such as Bungo beef, charcoal-grilled of chicken skewers, dango jiru soup, etc. It is also known to allow its guests to bring pets.
