Ukenokuchi Public Onsen

Hydrogen carbonate spring Tattoo-friendlySoap providedOpen air bath
This place is close to the KOKONOE “YUME” OTSURIHASHI in Kokonoe. This historical hot spring was opened when Tano Shoya Tokuemon built a hot spring hut in Kyoho 13 (1728). It is said that Yasunari Kawabata stayed here to develop the idea of his novel "Thousand Cranes." In the Ukenokuchi Hot Spring, the murky iron-rich water smells like iron. There are also inns around the hot springs, and you can have traditional dishes using plenty of local ingredients from the mountains."
