Nagayu Onsen, one of the most popular carbonated springs in Japan, Kuju Onsen with its vast landscapes and majestic nature, are two famous spots in Taketa City. Nagayu Onsen contains a high carbonic acid content and has been receiving special attention due to its rarity in Japan. When you take a bath in this onsen, your body will be wrapped in small bubbles like soaking in a Champagne bath. This area is surrounded by mountains as tall as 1,000 m or more, such as Mt. Kuju, Mt. Sobo, Mt. Katamuki, and others. Many mountain climbers visit this area from summer to autumn. It is also famous as a summer resort and is often called the Eastern Niagara.
