Jigoku Meguri (Hell Tour) Bus Tour operated by Kamenoi Bus is convenient for visiting all eight of the Jigoku Onsen locations. The onboard guide is only available in Japanese, but many international travelers frequent the tour nonetheless.

Beppu Jigoku Meguri (Hell Tour) ・・・ (Duration: 2 hrs 30 - 40 min.)

Board the sightseeing bus at Beppu Kitahama Bus Center or Beppu Station. No reservations required. Offers a comprehensive tour through all eight locations of Hells of Beppu hot springs of hell.

  • Available only on Sat., Sun., national holidays, and between Dec. 28th and 31st.

Kannawa Region

With the exception of Chinoike (Blood Pond) and Tatsumaki (Tornado) Hells, the remaining six of the eight Hells of Beppu are located in Kannawa: Umi (Sea), Oniishi Bozu (Shaved Head), Yama (Mountain), Kamado (Cooking Pot), Oniyama (Demon Mountain), and Shiraike (White Pond) Hells. The region also features Kannawa Mushi-yu (steam bath) and the Jigoku Mushi Kobo Kannawa workshop offers various types of onsen steamed gourmet.

Discount Ticket, My Beppu Free

Passengers without SUNQ Pass are recommended to use My Beppu Free discount ticket, which applies to all areas of tourist destinations except for Harmonyland, Takasakiyama, and Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Garden, Oita Marine Palace Aquarium "Umitamago".
